Day 1 : Our first day of city experience we had to be at fed square by nine o'clock. I woke up at 8:00 o'clock not knowing what today was going to bring. I had a rough idea but not really. I met some friends at Strathmore station. We got the train to finders street walked to fed square. From there we walked to the shrine of remembrance. There we learned all about the first world war and how it affected so many people and family's. We went in a room and this man talked to us in detail and he dressed Will up like a soldier and and went through what it would be like to be a soldier with having a family, it would have been very tough. At eleven o'clock we gatherd around a stone witch said "greater love hath no man" and a artificial light went across it, we were silent for one minute. Part 2 of our day we had lunch at fed square I went to subway with Ollie. After eating we went to this place called urban seed. We waited outside this church type thing and after 5 minutes a lady came out and called us in. We sat down in the church and we talked about stories about homelessness, and stereotyping people. The lady took us around the city threw alleyways and was telling us more story of of homelessness it was quite sad and then after all that she took us to this little hide out place and there was a really long table and we all sat down and she told us that homeless people come here and they cook food for them. It was a really nice place and the people ther are really nice because they try there best to help homeless people.
DAY 2:
We met up at federation square yet again and where then told to split up in groups and do a scavenger hunt. We had questions on a paper and we had to follow them. me and my group got lost a couple of times but ended up finding the right way.We went all over the city. after we met at 12 30 I think we met back at de square. We were meant to do another task but it got to rainy and the we went to a place at fed square called ACMI and we looked around and played the games/activities that where there on show. That was the end of day 2 of our city experience.
Day 3:
Our third and final day of city experience really had nothing to do with the city. The boys and girls did self defences classes the boys at the theatrette and the girls at the Starthmore uniting church. The man who took us was a master of karate. He was kind of scary and Went nuts on will and pelted him in the head. although he did teach us some good self defence moves it was really fun. After that we walked for 5-10 minutes to the church and met the girls there. We were then greeted my some police officers who taught us about sexting and alcohol we watched a film a school made about sexting some girl sent a nude picture of herself to another boy and the boy sent it to his friends there were many laws broke, child pornography harassment and more. Then about the alcohol we spoke about the circumstances that you are aloud to drink alcohol like when your in your own home with your parent permission and others the day dragged on a bit and got really boring then we spoke about our sexuality and how we felt about our selves and that was the end of our city experience.
