Hi guys, just updating my status here. Thought id mention how excited i am to be going on this fine city experience. So happy to be joining all my fellow classmates on this joyful adventure. lots of love to nikki xoxo

DAY 1:
Today was the first day of or city experience, we all met up at strathmore station and made our way into the city. We gathered at federation square and waited in the cold for late people. I grabbed a quick coffee from 7 eleven and ate a mars bar that mum packed me in a little lunch bag. We then headed to the Shrine of remembrance. It was quite emotianal for me as my grandpa served in World War II. It was great hearing stories from our tour guide, he was a nice man who gave us a great insight to how horrible the conditions were. We then got a crappy 20 minute lunch so basically 10 minutes by the time we had got our food and our seats. I wasnt happy and i was quite grumpy at this stage. We hurried back and soon enough we were at urban seed. Bianca spoke to us and asked us lots of questions about Hierachy in the city of melbourne, but mainly focused on homelessness. I learned alot about homelessness and it really opened up my eyes. It showed me that life really isnt a utopia, you've got to try your hardest and do your best in life to get to get to where you want to be. I couldnt believe that up to 40% of homeless people are under the age of 25. To think that people my age and even younger are struggling and dont have a warm bed at night, or a place to be with their family.
DAY 2:
On the second day of our city experience, We had the scavenger Hunt. Nikki, ollie, steven and i decided to go on our own adventure instead, shopping !! It was great being able to be more independent and to be able to make our own decisions. It was really good fun, and my favourite activity.Although we did a little bit of the scavenger hunt it was interesting going through some of the arcades and seeing the different classes of people like we learnt in our Urban Seed activity. Cant really say much more about that but then once again we had lunch and this time we got an hour thankfully !
Fortunately we didnt do street art ! instead we went to acmi for about half an hour and played games and looked at all this cool screens and lights,
I wasnt present on the thursday but im sure it would have been interesting. Ellen xxx
